Duct Leakage Testing Ensures Tightness of your Duct System

Duct Leakage Testing is required per Louisiana Energy Code where the ductwork or the air handler are located outside of the building envelope.  This test allows us verifier if your duct system was properly installed & sealed. In existing homes, it is not uncommon to see 30% or more duct leakage which leads to increased energy cost, hot & cold spots & dust in the home.

Duct Leakage Testing - When is it required?

  • Ductwork is installed in vented attic.
  • Ductwork is installed under the floor.
  • Ductwork is installed on exterior walls.
  • Not required if the ductwork/air handler is located within the Thermal Envelope.
