Air Service Professionals Heating & Cooling Specialists preforms ACCA Manual J, S, & D load calculations to properly size your homes heating & cooling system(s) & ductwork. Ensuring comfort & efficiency for your family & home.
Louisiana Energy Code requires load calculations be preformed on all new construction residential homes. We take a step further & also preform Manual J, S, & D load calculations on existing homes to ensure your replacement heating & cooling system & ductwork are properly sized for your home. Properly sized heating & cooling systems increase the comfort of the occupants by providing proper dehumidification in addition to the necessary heating & cooling capacity to maintain temperature. This process also improves the efficiency & life span of the system.
Manual J - (Joule - Measurement of Heat) Determines a home's heat loss/gain. The factors that are used to determine this calculation are number of occupants, attic & exterior walls materials, insulation, foundation, window & doors, ductwork tightness & type, the homes tightness, lighting, appliances & orientation.
Manual S - (System Selection) Includes using manufacture's performance data showing sensible, latent, & total capacities of the system. Using the data from the Manual J, matching a heating & cooling system to your homes heat loss/gain.
Manual D - (Ductwork Design) Includes using the Manual S selected equipment blower data, fittings, lengths, filter type & room by room cfm requirements for both supply/return sizing. Ensuring a quiet, low static & balanced ductwork system.
All (3) reports put together equal a properly sized heating/cooling system & ductwork to meet your homes exact needs. No guessing or rule of thumbs just accurate sizing of equipment & ductwork to properly heat & cool, dehumidify, provide indoor air quality, & operate efficiency in your home.
